Closing Ceremony 2024

On May 19th, we said farewell to our ninth generation of students at UWC Robert Bosch College and congratulated them on their 2-year UWC and IB journey. With sunshine and warm temperatures, the Closing Ceremony took place outside, in presence of the school community as well as parents, host families, and friends of our graduates. Framed by speeches and music, the 105 students from all over the world received their certificates; in a moving speech, our former Director of Studies, Dr. Christian Bock, encouraged the recent graduates to hold on to their values and their dreams: “Hold onto your ability to question, to challenge, and to reimagine worlds. Choices do have consequences—there is no doubt. But each choice you make sends ripples into the future, influencing ways you may never fully understand. Do not underestimate the impact of your decisions, your empathy for your fellow human beings, other species and this planet, or the power of your voice. Whether through grand actions or quiet, steadfast movements, you have the potential to craft a future that reflects our highest hopes and values. We are such stuff as dreams are made on, even if our little lives are rounded by a sleep.”
