„From Arms to farms“: The role of organic farming in Peace-building | Lecture by Rommel Arnado on Nov 28

Public Lecture
On Thursday, November 28th, Rommel Arnado, mayor of the town Kauswagan in the Philippines, will visit UWC Robert Bosch College to give insight into his peace-building project “From Arms to Farms”. With the support of organic farming, he has managed to bring peace and prosperity to a civil-war ridden region by encouraging guerrilla fighters to put down their weapons – and become organic farmers in return. For his work, he will be awarded the Future Policy Award 2024 in Bern on the evening before his talk.
